Warranties depend on servicing
Most manufacturers offer 5 to 7 year warranties, sometimes longer, but they usually require the system to be registered and serviced every year by a qualified installer. Miss a service and you may lose the cover.
What a service includes
- Cleaning filters and coils.
- Checking refrigerant pressures and for leaks.
- Checking drains, electrics and controls.
- Updating the service record.
Your home passport
