What we collect
- Home plans: your postcode and the answers you give. Saved plans can be opened only with their private link.
- Enquiries: your name, email, optional phone, postcode and message, sent only to the installers you choose.
- Installer accounts: business details, certificates and photos of finished work. Certificates are visible only to our team.
- Energy certificate data: when you enter your postcode we look up public EPC records (Open Government Licence) to fill in your plan. We keep a copy for 30 days to make repeat lookups faster.
- Quotes: installers can send you a quote through a private link; it contains the name, email and postcode you gave them.
- Reviews: after a job, we email you a private link. Your rating, text and first name with initial are published on the installer's profile.
What we show publicly
Finished installations appear on the map by postcode sector (for example “DN15 8”) with coordinates rounded to about one kilometre. We never publish a homeowner’s address.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for two years so installers can follow up; plans for two years; you can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction or deletion by emailing hello@heatcoolhub.co.uk. You can also complain to the ICO.
Cookies
We use one essential cookie to keep installers signed in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
